In this work, an ordinary stainless-steel fork—once sturdy and utilitarian—is enlarged and rendered fragile, resembling a withered bouquet. It rests upon a dodecahedral high table, whose surface is scattered with cigarette butts lit by flickering LEDs, evoking the afterglow of embers that refuse to die out. Through small apertures on the table’s box-like body, one can glimpse screens alongside Hong Kong and Mexican banknotes printed with butterfly motifs. On the screens, a pair of hands repeatedly forms heart gestures in shifting variations—an endless loop that both expresses and erodes affection, staging a visual field where desire, consumption, and vulnerability entwine.
